Josh Sinnott


Josh Sinnott started Sonoma Financial in 2007, although he’s been Insurance Licensed and working in the financial services industry since 1997. His main goal when working with clients is to make sure their accounts match their personal risk tolerance. Additionally, Josh believes in the importance of helping clients lower the fees on their overall portfolio.


Josh Sinnott has a passion for helping other people solve problems and seeing them succeed. This carries over to what he’s doing when not helping clients: coaching. He played football in college while simultaneously earning his Associate Degree, and has been coaching football and other sports on and off for over 25 years.


Most importantly, Josh also spends a lot of time with his family. He lives in Windsor, California, with his wife, Nicole, and three sons, James, Nolan, and Thomas. They also have two cats, Sprinkles and Olive.

Laura Canul

Administrative Assistant

Laura Canul holds the role of Administrative Assistant at Sonoma Financial. She joined the company in 2021. Laura’s job entails assisting Josh Sinnott by keeping his schedule organized. Additionally, she’s responsible for keeping clients informed about their accounts, and answering client questions if they call the office. She also assists in organizing seminars, and managing the office. Laura finds helping clients solve their problems fulfilling. 

She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Sonoma State University. Prior to working for Sonoma Financial, she was responsible for marketing at a nonprofit organization. When not helping clients, Laura spends a lot of time furthering her education. She spends her free time enjoying outdoor activities like hiking or walking her dog, Ezra. She also has a tabby cat named Milo. Laura lives in Santa Rosa, California. Reach out to Laura.
